
As far as enrolments of international students, whether from the European Community or not, are concerned, the Accademia di Belle Arti of Perugia applies general provisions regulating University entrance of foreign citizens as well as Italian citizens holding educational qualifications achieved abroad as stated in Italian Regulations concerning admission of foreign students to University courses (Regulations for the 2008-2011 triennium as agreed with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of the Interior) issued by MIUR – (Ministry of Education, University and Research) - Head office for students and the right to study, Office II, note Ref. n° 1291, May 16th 2008.
The abovementioned regulations apply to matriculations of:
Italian citizens holding educational qualifications achieved abroad, at Italian Universities (Universities, University institutes and applied-science faculties) as well as Artistic and Musical Higher Education institutions (Academies of Fine Arts, Conservatories, Higher Education Institutes for Artistic Industries), whether public or not, entitled to issue degrees having legal value for the following courses:
In compliance with Italian Law May 31st 1995 n° 218 reforming the Italian system of private international law, art. 19 par. 2, if the applicant has a dual nationality, one of which being Italian, this shall prevail.
Citizens from the following States are deemed equal to EC-citizens:

International students intending to enrol on the Academy courses shall go to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their country within the date fixed yearly in the abovementioned calendar. Application submitted by a student holding foreign educational qualifications will be accepted provided that on the basis of both the documents supplied and a written statement issued by the relevant Italian Embassy or Consulate concerning the value of the foreign educational qualifications achieved, admission to University Faculties in the student’s country of origin proves to be allowed.
